 Gourmet Kool Aid

kool aid.jpg

Kool Aid is an all time classic drink. Make a glass and bring it to the Juneteenth Cuisine Lunch and Learn, Wednesday, June 16, 2021.

Why Red Kool Aid:

The color red is symbolic in Juneteenth celebrations. Freed  slaves celebrated by drinking red soda. This was a luxury that enslaved people did not previously have. It has become a tradition to drink red soda or drinks on Juneteenth.

The red color symbolizes perseverance and represents the struggle and bloodshed that enslaved people endured.
